you're listening to the 3rd and final - unreleased Deceiving Ralph CD "Cartoonish Reality"

After a lot of down time, and a lack of communication, things have officially come to an end with Deceiving Ralph.
As a whole, we want to thank every single person who ever saw us and/or supported us in any way. We know we weren't
the most popular or most loved band, but the fans we did have were beyond loyal, which is more than any band could
ask for. We had a great 6 year run - below are some "goodbye" letters that have been written so far by former band mates, the others will
be posted as I get them. Thanks for the love and hate over the past few years, it was what fueled us. While reading these
please enjoy the music from the unreleased 3rd CD "Cartoonish Reality". We'll see you around.

- Phatty McDave

Hey kids!
Well, here it is, the inevitable farewell letter.
What can I say? Deceiving Ralph waws a huge part of
my life, spanning 6 years, thousands of miles,
hundreds of shows, and countless new friends and
aquaintances. I cherish all of the great times I've
had with these guys, with the other bands we've played
with, and with everyone who ever came to see us. At
our best, we were an energetic band who really had fun
on stage. At our worst, we were an inebriated band
who had a little too much fun before taking to the
stage. Love us or hate us, we always made an effort
to be entertaining and fun. I'd really like to thank all the guys I've worked with
in this band over the last 6 years. Eric, Bob, Justin
(ShitFace), Dave, John, Luke, and Doug. You guys were
all a part of something great in my life, and even if
things aren't how they used to be, you're in my
memories. I'd like to thank the bands who shared the stage with
us, booked us, let us book them, and hung out with us.
There are way too many to name, and you've all been
important to me. I'd like to thank the venues and bookers we've dealt
with, including the punk houses (Warner and Flora!),
bars, etc etc. I'd really really like to thank the friends and fans
we've encountered over the years (and still do). You
guys are awesome and made this all worth doing. I sometimes wish things were different, and this wasn't it for us, but I know that even good things
have to come to an end at some point, and that time
has come for Deceiving Ralph. Thank you all for
listening and caring. If these are the last words that I ever write,
Just say "goodnight" And don't forget, I love you.
And if these are the last words that I ever say
Before I fade away, Don't forget I love you.

Scott "The Ralph" Spaulding

I can't express my love and/or grattitude to all the poeple who've supported us or at the very least came to a show here and there. I've had the time of my life with this band. There aren't many local bands who can say they've accomplished what we have, love or hate us. We've not only been nominated for awards, we've won some, along with nationwide praise from many a reviews, along with a succesfull tour to CA and back.. I've made good friends, and good enemies with this band, and there's not a second I'd take back...but alas, our time has come. The 3rd CD which has more heart in it than any other Ralph CD is our final baby.... and I'm happy with how it turned out. So to all I've met through the years, thanks again, and to those I never met, a prelude of thanks, and keep this band alive in some way/shape/form! Peace out to my brothers in Ralph...and the fans.

For the last time known as,
Phatty McDave

IF YOU'VE GOT A COMMENT A "HI" OR A "BYE" - LEAVE IT WITH THE FORM BELOW!

To all those who may ever read this, I had a great fuckin' time. Playing music is one of the great loves of my life and my 'mates and the people who came to the shows made it so much better. Thanks for all the love, and beer, and boobs, and places to stay, and gas money, and beer, and free stuff, and patience while I tuned, and boobs, and beer, and laughs, and nicknames, and ugh... drama, and booze, and unbelievable smells, and hangovers, and of course toilets. And did I mention beer and titties?
I want to say too that the Ralph may be gone but all the things I gained from being in it are always going to be with me. Luckily none of those things were vd's. I made some great friends, I figured out what I wanted out of life, and I learned how to get really drunk and not puke. Yay!
Well, even though this all seems in retrospect to be one big excuse for drinking and getting people naked, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Wouldn't you?

Later Dude,
Johnny Hooligan
